Awarded by American Association of Law Libraries (AALL)
Open to degree candidates in an accredited library or law school. Preference is given to individuals with previous service to, or interest in, law librarianship and who intend to pursue a career in law librarianship. Applicants must be members of a minority group as defined by the current United States of America government guidelines.

The American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) was founded in 1906 to promote and enhance the value of law libraries to legal and public communities, to foster the profession of law librarianship and to provide leadership in the field of legal information. Today, the AALL represents law librarians and related professionals who are affiliated with a wide range of institutions including law firms, law schools, corporate legal departments and courts, and local, state and federal government agencies.
