Walter Byers Postgraduate Scholarship Program
Awarded by National Collegiate Athletic Association
Encouraging excellence in academic performance by student-athletes and in recognition of outstanding academic achievement and potential for success in postgraduate study.
Generally, applications are available on-line in October of each year and the completed applications are due back to the national office in late January. Please refer to the current application packet for the current year's due date.
Applicant must have undergraduate cumulative grade-point average of 3.500, be a graduating senior who have competed in intercollegiate athletics as a member of a varsity team at an NCAA member institution; have demonstrated that participation in athletics has been a positive influence on their personal and intellectual development, and have competed in intercollegiate athletics as a member of a varsity team at an NCAA member institution.
$24,000 per academic year, may be renewed for a second year.
