To provide a living allowance for research higher degree candidates to undertake a PhD or MPhil.
Open to candidates who hold or expect to hold a Bachelor's degree with Honours Class I or equivalent results. They must be an Australian citizen, permanent Australian resident or a citizen of New Zealand.
2–3 years for Research Masters degree, with a possible extension of 6 months, for a Research Doctorate degree
$24,653 per year (last year's rate). This rate is indexed annually.
