Fulbright Postgraduate Scholarships
Awarded by Australian-American Fulbright Commission
To enable students to undertake an approved course of study for an American higher degree or equivalent, or to engage in research relevant to an Australian higher degree.
As the award does not include any provision for maintenance payments, applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have sufficient financial resources to support themselves and any dependants during their stay in the United States of America.
Open to Australian citizens by birth or naturalization. Those holding dual United States of America and Australian citizenship are not eligible.

8-12 months funded, renewable for up to 5 years unfunded
Applicants must complete an application form and submit this with three reference reports, already included in the application pack, and documentation of citizenship and qualifications. Naturalized citizens must provide a certificate of Australian citizenship with their application, and native-born Australians must provide a copy of their birth certificate. The Australian-American Fulbright Commision is a non-profit organization in Australia, established through a binational treaty between the Australian and United States governments in 1949 under the auspices of the United States Educational Foundation (USEFA) in Australia. The mission of the Commission is to further mutual understanding between the people of Australia and the United States through educational and cultural exchange.
