Henderson Postgraduate Scholarships

Purpose

To encourage and enable students to pursue their studies at the Master's and doctoral levels, and to enhance recipients' research abilities and produce internationally competitive graduates with an innovative, analytical, articulate and well-rounded desire to learn.

Scholars must assist with teaching and/or research duties up to a maximum of 6 hours a week in their department of study, without additional remuneration. Awards are for full-time study in attendance at Rhodes University only.

Open to South African citizens with appropriate qualifications.

Award Value

South African Rand 40,000 for Master's level and Rand 60,000 for Doctoral level

Application procedure

Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae and a full academic record and a covering letter indicating proposed degree and subject to be studied.

July 1st in the year preceding
