To stimulate, co-ordinate and support fundamental or applied clinical or non-clinical research.
Grants are awarded to an institution to support the research of the principal investigator. Scientific equipment and supplies bought with grant funds become the property of the grantee institution. Progress reports are required and appropriate publication is expected.
Open to suitably qualified investigators.
Funds may be used to pay the salaries of associated professional personnel, technical assistants and other non-professional personnel in proportion to the time spent directly on the project, in whole or in part. Salaries are made in accordance with the prevailing policies of the grantee institution. If requested, other expenses such as travel costs and fringe benefits may also be paid

Founded in 1946, NMSS supports more on multiple sclerosis (MS) research and provides professional education programmes and furthers MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world.
