Garnham Expeditionary Scholarship
Awarded by British Society for Parasitology
Purpose
This award aims to give parasitologists at an early stage in their careers (undergraduates or PhD students) the opportunity to undertake field studies in parasitology. It is particularly aimed at candidates who wish to undertake studies under demanding conditions.
Eligibility
Applicants at an early stage of their interest in parasitology (undergraduates or PhD students in their first or second years of study) are especially encouraged. Applicants need not be members of the BSP but must have a written letter of support from a staff member of their institution who is a BSP member.

The Society will provide support of up to £1,000
Application procedure
Applications should include a curriculum vitae of the applicant (on a single A4 page); a description (on a single A4 page) of the proposed project; a letter of support from a colleague (who must be a BSP member) and from the host institution; a budget for the proposed trip including details of the cost of travel, accommodation and subsistence; a signed and dated declaration stating, 'I have read and understood the conditions of the award'.
