ACOG Bayer Health Care Pharmaceticals Research Award in Long Term Contraception
Purpose
To provide seed grant funds to junior investigators for clinical research in the area of non-daily contraception, such as proper use and administration, factors affecting patient acceptance and compliance, and non-contraceptive benefits.

Eligibility
Candidates must be an ACOG Junior Fellow or Fellow and in an approved obstetrics-gynecology residency program or within 3 years post-residency.

Award Value
US$25,000 plus $1,000 travel stipend to attend the ACOG annual clinical meeting.
Application procedure
Candidates must submit six copies of a research proposal, written in eight pages or less, and should include the following: hypothesis, objectives, specific aims, background and significance, experimental design, and references. A one-page budget, curriculum vitae and letter of support from the program director, departmental chair or laboratory director must also be submitted.
