ACOG/Bayer Health Care Pharmaceuticals Research Award in Contraceptive Counseling
Purpose
To provide seed grant funds to junior investigators for clinical research in the area of contraceptive counselling, such as education to parents to recognize the options available to them and the risks, benefits and total costs associated with each option, patient preference for contraception options and patient selection criteria for different forms of contraception.

Eligibility
Candidates must be ACOG Junior Fellows or Fellows who are in an approved obstetrics or gynecology residency programme or within 3 years of postresidency.

US$25,000 plus a $1,000 travel stipend to attend the ACOG Annual Clinical Meeting
Application procedure
Candidates must submit six copies of a proposal consisting of a hypothesis, objectives, specific aims, background and significance, experimental design and methods. These must not exceed six typewritten pages in total. A curriculum vitae, letter of support from the programme director, departmental chair or laboratory director, references and a one-page budget must also be submitted.
