To advance molecular biology research by helping scientists to visit another laboratory with a view to applying a technique not available in the home laboratory and to foster collaboration.

The European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) was established in 1964 to promote biosciences in Europe. Today EMBO supports transnational mobility, training and exchange through initiatives such as fellowships, courses, workshops and its young investigator activities.
