Anne U White Fund
Awarded by Association of American Geographers (AAG)
Purpose
To enable people, regardless of any formal training in geography, to engage in useful field studies and to have the joy of working alongside their partners.
By accepting the Anne U White grant, awardees agree to submit a two-page report that summarizes results and documents expenses underwritten by the grant to the AAG Executive Director. In 1989, Gilbert and Anne White donated a sum of money to the Association of American Geographers to establish the Anne U White Fund. Gilbert White and other donors have subsequently added substantially to the original gift. Please see the website for further details external link.
Eligibility
Open to candidates who have been AAG members for at least 2 years at the time of application. Proposals that, in the opinion of the committee, best meet the purposes for which Anne and Gilbert White set up the funds will be given preference.

Application procedure

The AAG was amalgamated with the American Society of Professional Geographers (ASPG) in 1948.
