To help scholars to visit Japan and experience the diverse culture by not only developing a deeper academic knowledge of Japan but by cultivating a greater appreciation for its social richness as well.


Open to candidates of non-Japanese nationality who are PhD candidates enrolled in a graduate school in Kanto area.

The Atsumi International Scholarship Foundation (AISF) was established to help promote a greater sense of Japan's role in the process of internationalization. Its goal is to provide financial assistance to foreign students with superior academic skills to further their studies at graduate schools in Japan.
