Virginia Liebeler Biennial Grants for Mature Women (Writing)
To advance creative purpose in writing.
Interested parties must send a stamped addressed envelope to receive current information.
Open to women over 35 years of age who wish to pursue special work in their field of art, letters or music. Applicants must be citizens of the United States of America. Current and past recipients are not eligible for this award.

Applicants must (a) send proof of age and United States of America citizenship (copy of birth certificate, passport ID page, voter's registration card and a driver's license or a state ID, if possible). Driver's license alone is not proof of citizenship; (b) enclose a one-page cover letter describing how they intend to use the grant money, if awarded the grant, and any relevant information about themselves; (c) enclose a US$8 check made payable to NLAPW with their submission; (d) enclose a stamped addressed envelope/mailer with sufficient postage for the return of their submission; and (e) provide their name, address, telephone number and email address on the cover page of the submission. Applicants must submit either a published or unpublished manuscript in any or all of the following categories: article, drama, essay, first chapter of a novel, narrative outline of a complete novel, three poems, short-story or TV script. The entry is not to exceed 4,000 words.
