Air Force Summer Faculty Fellowship Program
Purpose
To stimulate professional relationships among SFFP participants, the scientist and engineers at Air Force Research facilities.
Each AF SFFP award is for one summer; however, previous AF SFFP awardees may apply for renewal of their award for a 2nd and 3rd year, providing they wish to renew at the same AF SFFP laboratory and will work with the same AF SFFP research advisor.
Eligibility
Applicants to the Air Force Summer Faculty Fellowship Program (SFFP) must be citizens or legal permanent residents of the United States. Applicants must hold a full-time appointment at a US college or university. Participants are expected to conduct research at an Air Force Research Laboratory Directorate, US Air Force Academy, or the Air Force Institute of Technology. Award Value
Weekly stipend based on the status of the participant's application. The levels for the AF SFFP faculty are Assistant Professor: $1,300; Associate Professor: $1,500 and Professor: $1,700. The levels for the AF SFFP graduate students are: pursuing a master's degree: $884; pursuing a PhD: $1,037. A daily expense allowance of $50 per workday for those with temporary residence.
