H Thomas Austern Memorial Writing Competition-Food and Drug Law Institute(FDLI)

To encourage law students interested in the areas of law affecting foods, drugs, devices, cosmetics and biologics.
Winning papers will be considered for publication in the Food and Drug Law Journal.
Entrants must currently be enrolled in a JD programme at any of the United States of America law schools. Anyone currently enrolled in a Juris Doctorate program in any US college or university.
$750 for first place, $500 for second place, $250 for third place, plus complimentary one-year membership. Top papers will also be considered for publication in the Food and Drug Law Journal (external link
Students must register for submission through the online competition portal (external linkall papers must be submitted within the portal. Students will submit an abstract. No author identifying information may be included in the body of the text. The author’s name should only be shared when registering. Papers may not exceed 100 pages (double spaced, one-inch margins). Papers must be unpublished.
