Fred Rogers Memorial Scholarship
Awarded by Academy of Television Arts & Sciences
To support and encourage an aspiring upper division or graduate student to pursue a career in children's media that furthers the values and principles of Fred Rogers work.
In addition to the monetary award, successful applicants will work with a mentor from the Children's Programming Peer Group during the academic year.
Open to upper division graduate students of accredited colleges or universities. Candidates must have the ultimate goal of working in the field of children's media.
Candidates must complete an extensive form that includes background information about themselves and plan for the use of the scholarship money. The application must also include recommendations from two people, either faculty members or professionals from the children's media industry who have worked with the applicant.
