Francis Carroll Scholarship
Awarded by Australian Catholic University
Established by public appeal in 2006, in honour of Archbishop Francis Carrolls contribution to the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn, on the occasion of his retirement as Archbishop.
Open to commencing students who relocate from rural or regional areas of the Archdiocese of Canberra/Goulburn or the Diocese of Wagga Wagga to undertake an Education course at the Canberra campus of the University.
Up to $2,500
Applications should include evidence of academic merit (based on UAI score or entry rank); evidence of the applicants contribution to and/or leadership in community service; an explanation on how the Scholarship could financially support their intended program of study; evidence of rural or regional background; and one referees report from the applicants school Principal which addresses the above selection criteria.
