Purpose
To help build the human resources necessary for economic, social and cultural development in the southern African region and to develop an educated and skilled workforce that can benefit the wider community.
Applications are assessed by a scholarships selection committee comprised of the Chief Executive, the Scholarships Programme Manager, trustees and academics.
Eligibility
Applicant must be commited to returning to southern Africa upon completion of their studies, and using the knowledge, training and skills acquired in the UK for the general benefit of their home community and country. Academic achievement, work experience, motivation, relevance of the course to southern Africa's needs, and commitment to community and country are all factors in selection. Open to students from South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Swaziland, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Angola and Mozambique.
