NUFFIC-NFP Fellowships for PhD Studies
To allow candidates to pursue a PhD at one of 18 Dutch universities and institutes for international education.
A large portion of the PhD research must take place in the candidate's home country.
Candidate must be a national of one of 61 developing countries and have been admitted to a Dutch institution as a PhD fellow. Priority will be given to female candidates and candidates from sub-Saharan Africa.
Monthly allowance (€595–1190)
After being accepted for admission to a Dutch institution, the candidate may submit a request for a PhD fellowship. Applicant must present a completed NFP PhD study application form to the Netherlands embassy or consulate in his/her own country. The application must be accompanied by the necessary documentation and by a research proposal that is supported by the supervisor(s). Form can be downloaded from website external link
