Martin Niemöller Scholarships

Purpose

The German Speaking Congregation in Glasgow are pleased to offer 2-3 scholarship awards between £500 and £750 for students originating from German speaking countries. The scholarships will support those students in need of financial support at any stage of their degree programme.All students awarded a Martin Niemöller Scholarship will be asked to submit a short letter of thanks to the Development and Alumni Office for onward transmissions to the donors of the award.

Eligibility

The Scholarships will be available to any students in financial need, however, those coming to Glasgow from one of the following German speaking countries/areas will be given preference: Germany Switzerland Austria Belgium Luxembourg Regione Autonoma Trentino-Alto Adige/Sudtirol Liechtenstein Students studying any course level at the University of Glasgow. Students coming from one of the above countries as part of an exchange programme will also be eligible to apply. Students should ideally be able to demonstrate financial hardship.
