ALA Jesse H. Shera Award for Distinguished Published Research
Awarded by American Library Association (ALA)
To honour an outstanding and original paper reporting the results of research related to libraries.
Authors of nominated articles need not be Library Research Round Table (LRRT) members but the nominations must be made by LRRT members. All entries must be research articles published in English during the calendar year previous to the competition. All nominated articles must relate in at least a general way to library and information studies.
Applicants wishing to nominate research articles for this award should send three copies of each article together with a covering letter stating that they are a current member of LRRT or that they are acting in their role as journal editor.
Each year the American Library Association (ALA) and its member units sponsor awards to honour distinguished service and foster professional growth.
