Purpose
To assist qualified individuals in the pursuit of training leading to an advanced degree.
Eligibility
Must be a respiratory therapist who has at least a Baccalaureate degree with a 3.0 cumulative GPA or better on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent. If no Baccalaureate degree, then a letter of matriculation from a graduate program and an undergraduate transcript will suffice. Award Value
Up to US$1,500 plus airfare, a certificate of recognition, one night's lodging and registration for the AARC International Respiratory Congress. May also include a cash award up to $1,500.
Application procedure
Candidates must return a completed, signed and notarized application form, provide three letters of reference attesting to the applicant's character, academic ability and professional commitment and supply an essay of at least 1,200 words. This must describe how the award will assist the applicant in reaching the objective of an advanced degree and the candidate's ultimate goals of leadership in healthcare.
