ASCAP Foundation
The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) is a membership association of over 260,000 composers, songwriters, lyricists and music publishers. It is dedicated to nurturing the music talent of tomorrow, preserving the legacy of the past and sustaining the creative incentive for today's creators through a variety of educational, professional and humanitarian programmes and activities which serve the entire music community. ASCAP's function is to protect the rights of its members by licensing and paying royalties for the public performances of their copyrighted works.
