H.E.A.R.T UK - The Cholesterol Charity
HEART UK sponsors research in the field of hyperlipidaemia, atherosclerosis (including coronary heart disease, stroke, peripheral arterial disease) with a special emphasis on genetic hyperlipidaemias including familial hypercholesterolaemia, familial combined hyperlipidaema and genetic hypertriglyceridaemia syndromes. Awards are open to basic scientists, professions allied to medicine and medical graduates to assist in travel for the purposes of either direct costs involved in research or to visit other laboratories to learn new techniques.
